Tea and cookies (Or: By the hairdresser)

Over the weekend I went to the hairdresser. It had been a while since the last appointment, so I was glad to finally get a chance to come in.

One of the nice things about the Netherlands is you always get asked if you want tea, coffee, water or similar when you go to the hairdresser. But this is the first time for me that it came in a real glass, on a serving tray, and with a complimentary cookie! (Well… complimentary… you definitely pay for it in the price, of course.)

It turned out to be a chocolate chip cookie. Tasty!

Marco and I also got offered tea and a cookie while shopping for a new couch a few years back. I don’t remember the US offering a service like this, although admittedly I mostly went to the budget hairdresser. I always got a haircut at Supercuts for $10! As you can tell by the price, that was a while ago…
