Yesterday was Veteran’s Day in the Netherlands. Marco and I went and checked out the local parade after hearing dozens of helicopters flying over on their way to Maliveld (where they had a lot of activities going on – we ended up not going there).

Most entertaining were the soldiers in white holding skis.
WHY would the Netherlands have a ski-unit? And where do they practice? 🙂
They are the Corps Mariniers and have to be prepared for any combat situation. They usually train their winter combat skills in Norway.
